Plan of businesses (Part 4): The technical study

After the market study, the following part or section of a plan of businesses is the technical study, which describes the physical requirements of the business, and the operation of this one.

The objective of the part of the technical study is the one to show the reader how they will be the daily operations of the business, and that who has elaborated the plan of businesses, understands and planned well these operations.

Reason why the technical study must provide sufficient information to show it, but without being too much exhaustive technician or, to the point that could make lose the interest to the reader to read it, or who this one cannot understand it due to its complexity.

The part of the technical study would have to contain the following elements:

Physical requirements

In this point we indicated the requirements physical that they will be necessary to make work the business, such as the buildings, lands, machinery, equipment, tools, vehicles, furniture, consumptions or raw materials, etc.

The recommendable thing is to do a list of these elements indicating its respective costs.

The process of the business

In this point we do a description of the stages that will include/understand the daily operations of the business, beginning by the purchases, happening through the transformation of products, and culminating with the storage and the distribution of these.

When describing the process of the business, we must indicate aspects that are related to and which they can help us to make one better description; for example, we can indicate which will be the policy of purchases, the size of inventory, the indices or standards that will be taken to carry out the quality control, etc.

In order to realize one better description of the process of the business, the recommendable thing is to make a flow chart.

The premises of the business

In this point we make a description of the premises of the business, for example, we indicated which will be his infrastructure, which will be its size, which will be its location and the reasons for which we have chosen this location, etc.

In this point also we must indicate to technical aspects such as the capacity of production whereupon the one that the premises will tell, the capacity that will be used, the location or disposition of the machineries, the equipment and the furniture, etc.

For one better description of the premises, the recommendable thing is to do use of planes, or one that show the location of the premises, one that show the distribution of its elements, or both.
