The planning must contemplate to specific objectives, that is to say, nongeneral missions but objectives that can measured; also, it contemplates to strategies or concrete actions that allow to reach these objectives.
He is feasible
The planning, before being realized, must consider the resources and the true capacity of the company, and it does not have to propose objectives or strategies that are outside the reach of the possibilities of the company.
He is coherent
The planning must consider all the plans of the company, are of length, medium or short term; it must be coherent with all the other plans and, that way, to obtain efficiency in his execution.
It is evaluated constantly
The planning must be evaluated constantly, it is due to permanently control and to evaluate his development and its results.
He is flexible
The planning does not have to be written in stone, must sufficiently be flexible like allowing to changes or corrections when they are necessary, for example, when it is necessary to adapt it to the sudden changes of the market.
It generates participation
The planning must jeopardize the participation of all the members of the company, all must contribute in their elaboration and development.
It generates motivation
The planning must identify and jeopardize to all the members of the company with the profit of the objectives and, that way, motivate them in its attainment.
He is permanent
The planning is a permanent process and continuous, once fulfilled the objectives, it must proposes new goals.
