An advertizing campaign is simply the period of time in which use becomes of a certain type of publicity.


We see next the steps necessary to send an advertizing campaign:


1. To define advertizing objectives

In the first place we must establish the objectives of our advertizing campaign, that is to say, must indicate what is what we want obtained through her, for example, our advertizing objectives can be:

  • to present a new product.
  • to inform on the characteristics of a product.
  • to emphasize the main benefits or attributes of a product.
  • to position an advertizing motto.
  • to persuade, to stimulate, to stimulate or to motivate the purchase or use of a product or service.
  • to make remember the existence of a product or service.

Once established our advertizing objectives, we must identify our public or objective market, that is to say, the specific public to whom to our publicity or advertizing campaign will be directed.


And, once determined our objective public, we indicated and we analyzed its characteristics, so that, on the basis of them, we pruned to design our means, messages and advertizing strategies.


The reason of segmenting a certain objective public, is that all the public do not have access to the same advertizing channels, nor react the same before the same type of message.


Still if we sell a same type of product, can need different means, messages or advertizing strategies for each type of public.


3. To define advertizing means or channels

Once we have determined and analyzed our objective public, we defined advertizing means or channels that we will use to send the advertizing message to public saying, that is to say, defined means or channels that we will use to publicitar our products or services to our objective public.


The advertizing means or channels can be conformed, for example, by the television, the radio, newspapers, magazines, Internet, traditional and electronic mail, fairs, campaigns, events, posters, posters, pamphlets, steering wheels, etc.


4. To write up the advertizing message

Once defined the advertizing means that we will use, we happened to write up the message that we will send through these means, to our objective public.


In the message we must indicate the main characteristics of our product, must emphasize the characteristics that present/display greater benefit to public, that allows to associate the product with this message and which they allow to catch the consumers who look for exclusively these characteristics, for example, we can create a message that emphasizes the quality or status that would offer owning our product.


The advertizing message will have to be compound of a language clear, flowed and easy to understand. It will have to catch the attention of the consumer, and will have to be a truthful message, we do not have to offer something that our products do not own or something that we did not prune to fulfill, because to happen it, would give a very bad image.


5. To send the advertizing campaign

And, finally, once defined our advertizing objectives, identified and analyzed our objective public, determined means or channels that we will use, and written up advertizing message that we will send, the moment has arrived for campaigning our advertizing effective.
