The advantages of the SMEs

If we counted on a small or median company (SME) or are evaluating the one creation, there is no reason to feel intimidated by the great companies that can exist like competition.

Although the SMEs count on some disadvantages such as a greater difficulty to obtain financing, minor access to the technology, or less power of negotiation before the suppliers, these also count on several advantages.

We see next 12 of the main advantages that present/display the SMEs before the great companies:

• Customized treatment: the SMEs, in comparison with the great companies, have the advantage of being able to offer a customized attention, for example, they can try with greater facility than a same worker throughout takes care of a client the purchase process.
• Better attention to the client: the SMEs usually are more near their clients, which allows them to know its needs, tastes and preferences better, and, that way, to be able to offer one better attention to them, for example, a better advising in its purchases.

• Better access to information of the market: the size of its market and the proximity with its clients, allow the SMEs to know better its objective public and to be abreast of the new changes that arise in market.
• Greater flexibility to adapt to the changes of the market: when counting on a simple structure, the SMEs have the advantage to adapt and better faster to the new needs, tastes and preferences of the consumers.
• Greater flexibility to satisfy particular needs, tastes and preferences: the SMEs also have the advantage of being able to adapt better to the particular requirements of their clients, or to make concessions when it asks for this one them.
• Greater capacity of innovation: the SMEs have the advantage of being able to innovate constantly, of being able to send to the market new products, services or promotions without running too much risk.
• Greater capacity of reaction: due to their structure simple and less rigid than the great companies, the SMEs have major rapidity to adapt to the changes of the market, to satisfy particular needs, or to innovate.
• Faster and opportune decisions: due to his simple structure and little hierarchized, the SMEs they have the capacity to make faster and opportune decisions than the great companies, which allows them, simultaneously, to have a greater capacity of reaction.
• Greater capacity to correct errors: due to the size of their structure, the SMEs have the advantage to correct their errors quickly, for example, have major facility to remedy a product that was not successful, a bad advertizing campaign, or a bad election of the objective public.
• Better handling of reclamations: the SMEs can take care of the complaints better or reclamations of the client, for example, can try that a same worker quickly is in charge of the complaints or reclamations of a client, and who this one does not have to consult with several employees.
• Greater commitment in the workers: to the being the SME a simple organization and not to have a noticeable division of functions, the workers generally usually has a greater contribution in ideas and suggestions for the improvement of the company, which makes feel more equipment and, therefore, more identified and it jeopardize with this one.
