The email marketing is a form to realize marketing in Internet that consists of making use of the email or electronic mail like mass media to promote a product or service, or to maintain contact with a consumer and thus to create interest in this one by a business, or to try its loyalty.
The simple fact to send an email to a person with the purpose of to promote a product or service or can be considered like email marketing, but marketing is generally related to the email to the use of the cc$bbs or to e-newsletter, with the shipment of electronic mails to clients with the purpose of to maintain contact with them, or the shipment of massive electronic mails to a list of people with the purpose of to promote a product or service.
The cc$bbs to e-newsletter
The cc$bbs or to e-newsletter consists of a publication distributed regularly via electronic mail to people who have subscribed previously in this one.
Generally, the publication of a cc$bbs tries on a subject of interest for the subscriber, who can be conformed by articles, the news, new features, promotions, information on new products or promotions, etc.
Like marketing strategy, the cc$bbs is a tool that we do not have to fail to take advantage of (or that our business bases on Internet that is business physical), because it allows to maintain contact us with the people that has subscribed to the bulletin (they are clients or not), and thus to promote our products or services, to create in them interest by our business, or to try his loyalty (in case of or to have been our clients).
Others of the advantages of the use of the cc$bbs are the possibility of arriving at low cost at a great number of people of immediate form and, as well as the possibility of being able to measure the results of different decisions or action that we realize, for example, the accomplishment of an advertizing campaign.
Shipment of electronic mails to clients
Another form common to make use of the email marketing consists of sending electronic mails to our clients, that is to say, the people whom or they have bought to us or made use of our services (and that when doing it has asked for him their directions of electronic mail), with the purpose of to maintain contacts with them, and to thus obtain his loyalty.
Generally, these electronic mails are conformed by notes of gratefulness (for example, by the realized purchase), or by notes of greetings (for example, by birthday or festive celebrations); but also, as in the case of cc$bbses, they can be conformed by the news (for example, of a next event), promotions of interest for the client, launchings of new products, etc.
Like the cc$bbs, this form to make email marketing is a good strategy of promotion and loyalty, that allows us to arrive quickly at our clients and with a minimum cost.
But unlike the cc$bbs, we must avoid that the shipment of electronic mails is so frequent, because in this case is emails that have not been asked for by the client (although it has offered by will his direction us of electronic mail), reason why the illegal use of this strategy even can be bad sight by the clients, being able to arrive to be considered like Spam.
It sent massive of electronic mails
This form to make use of email marketing consists of sending massive electronic mails to an ample list of people, with the purpose of to promote a product or service.
Generally, the directions of electronic mail of the people to whom emails is sent to them, have been obtained without the consent of these, or have been offered by these people, but without knowing the use that would occur them.
This form to make email we have mentioned it to marketing in this article to understand the concept of email marketing, but it is an activity that we must avoid, because it is considered like Spam, and is possible that when doing use of this one, we pruned to receive some sanction on the part of the authorities.
